Moïse resplendissant à sa descente du Sinaï ou cornu comme représenté par Michel-Ange, il n'en reste pas moins ce beau prophète qui nous a légué ceci :
1 - I am the Lord thy God and thou shalt not have other gods besides me.
2 - Thou shalt not make for thyself any graven image.
3 - Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
4 - Remember the Lord's Day to keep it holy.
5 - Honor thy Father and Mother.
6 - Thou shalt not kill.
7 - Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8 - Thou shalt not steal.
9 - Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10 - Thou shalt not covet.
Effectivement, on se demande si Moïse est "rayonnant" ou "cornu".
RépondreSupprimerOn le doit à une erreur de traduction faite par Saint Jérome au 4ème siècle, qui s'est trompé en rédigeant la première traduction latine de la Bible.
Il y a dans l'Exode (34.35) ce passage qui dit que Moïse descend "quaran" (rayonnant) du mont Sinaï) et que Jérome a lu "queren" (cornu).
D'où 1000 ans de représentations erronnées ...
